After gaining an honours degree in Accounting & Finance, Mike entered the financial services industry in 1987. Following a spell in the City of London, Mike returned to the North West in 1990 and joined MGP as a Director in 1993.
Mike advises on all aspects of investment and personal financial planning, with particular emphasis on private client portfolio management.
Mike is a Chartered Financial Planner (since 2010) and has been a Certified Financial Planner since 2000 (www.financialplanning.org.uk). He completed the Investment Management Certificate in 2009 and is an IMC member of the CFA Society of the UK (www.cfauk.org). Mike also completed the STEP Certificate for Financial Services (Trusts & Estate Planning) in 2010 and became an affiliate of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (www.step.org).
